CortexRP.com is currently experiencing intermittent site outages at this time. Unfortunately, some of our networking providers in the New York metro area are having problems and this is resulting in some traffic just not being routed properly. At this time, the datacenter running the site is on generator backup, however, everything on our end is 100% operational.

Will update with additional details as they become available.

Update (10/30/12 3:34 PM EST): The outages appear to be over at this time. To give you guys an idea of how we were affected, our monitoring system detected a total of 180 mini-outages over the past 24 hours. The datacenter is now returned to utility power at this time.

I've updated the Cortex Engine to resolve a number of problems that became apparent in Patch 1.5. Blizzard changed the way a number of natives work with less-than-ideal results.

Changelist

• Temporarily disabled smart hostile AI due to Blizzard AI changes.


• Added StringTo<X> type conversion checks on some common used commands due to exceptions being thrown now.

Upgrading your map is extremely simple, simply replace the core Cortex Engine files, and update your map's version of the Cortex Toolkit to the latest version, which fixes AI dependencies.

Hello,

I've just been notified by our automated monitoring system that the server which houses CortexRP.com currently has a failing hard disk in it's RAID array. We've scheduled remote hands at our Matawan, NJ datacenter to take the server offline at 11 PM EST tonight to swap out the failing disk and replace it with a new one.

Once that's complete, we'll begin the process of rebuilding our RAID array, during which period the site may run in a degraded state.

I'll update this post with more information as it becomes available.

Update 10:07 AM EST: The new drive is in place and we are currently rebuilding the array.
